The Dolce & Gabbana white mini dress is just what the 2011 Spring/Summer season ordered and it looks like Diane Kruger and Kate Bosworth agree. This dress is a dazzler embellished white trend so sharp and light with that angelic lace that looks like heaven. The two starlets are big fans of all the iconic brands and can be seen on any given day at any event with the latest and greatest 2011 fashion trends. This time, the garment of choice comes from the hand of famous fashion designers Dolce & Gabbana. German model turned actress Diane Kruger paired her Dolce & Gabbana white mini mini inlaid in silver with nude closed toed platform Christian Louboutin at a recent LA red carpet premiere. Kruger rocked the barely there dress flawlessly with confidence and grace. The leggy actress looked like she stepped straight off the runway and onto the red carpet in front of the cameras. She wore her hair pulled back in a low bow to complete her perfect look. Diane Kruger hit the nail on the head with this outfit from head to toe. Absolutely divine. Kate Bosworth recently wore the Dolce & Gabbana white mini at a Nylon Magazine event featuring her on the cover in Los Angeles. She dressed down the beautiful mini with a green army jacket and pointy toe black summit boots. The celebrity fashionista took a risk by mixing feminine lace and masculine military pieces. We’ve seen the young starlet look much better, but perhaps this look is appropriate for Nylon. The dress is so pretty it almost seems a shame to cover it up with a jacket, but what is done is done and Kate Bosworth is the type of women who for sure makes her own fashion rules.
So there you have it, the same dress and two totally different looks. Which one do you think worked or didn’t work? Did Diane Kruger’s perfect portrayal win you over or do you prefer mixing it up like Kate Bosworth. Either way the D&G white mini dress is a must have. Get the look for less at www.jessicasimpsoncollection.com The 2011 CDFA Awards Red Carpet sponsored by Swarovski was not only full of Hollywood’s A-List ladies–but also, all of the envious models in the industry and famous fashion designers . Australian Victoria’s Secret Angel Supermodel–and new mom, Miranda Kerr, wore Michael Kors Resort 2012, a black tank dress with high sarong-silhouette slit, side cut-outs and gold low-slung belt. Very Michael Kors , very Americana Sportswear-meets-St. Tropez, and very Chic! She wore the outfit down to the gold cuffs. Love it! Next, Karolina Kurkova wore an emerald green sequin hooded gown with pockets by Diane Von Furstenberg . You just can’t go wrong with a DVF . Which fashion trend of 2011 isn’t she sporting would be an easier question to answer. Hoodie…Sequins…and Pockets. Work it girl! Another fabulous Russian model rocked the red carpet, six-footer Hana Soukupova, dazzled in a one-shoulder ruffled and tiered gown by Marchesa Spring 2011. Talk about fashion for 2011. This dress is a fashonistas dream come true. Dutch-born beauty Doutzen Kroes also decided to show some leg like several of the other models at the event in this fire-red asymmetrical gown from J. Mendel. The subtle diagonal draping and pleating is exquisite. And those stilettos are killing it! Chanel Iman wore a very relaxed turquoise-colored caftan with high center-front slit Georgette Cocktail Dress by Max Azria . We’re predicting a new trend emerging for the summer and it look a lot like 70’s women fashion is making a comeback. The models were all over this relaxed comfortable look. Model Karlie Kloss wore a simple, spaghetti strap red gown with skinny black belt from designer Jason Wu. Ladies, if you have not picked up on Jason Wu now you can see why you should. Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen were Nominated for the Emerging Talent at the CFDA Awards for their clothing design company “The Row” which has garnered both critical and doing fabulously well at retail. Mary-Kate (Right) wore a gold Chanel jacket with a The Row (their own line) fishtail hem skirt and Louis Vuitton strappy heels . Ashley (Left), wore The Row dress, and Manolo Blahnik heels. Both accessorized it with great handbags from their line (smart), The Row. The bags alone are estimated to retail for $5,450!!
It’s time again for another femme Fashionista feature. As the PR machine for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two – the final installment of the most lucrative franchise of all time – kicks in to action, we can expect to see a lot more of the movie’s heroine, Emma Watson, over the coming weeks. Watson has also been dipping her toe into the fashion world, first with her line for People Tree and recently her eco-friendly ‘Pure Threads’ collaboration with Alberta Ferretti. She’s finding herself increasingly in-demand for modeling jobs and stars in a series of upcoming Lancome ads photographed by her old friend from her Burberry days, Mario Testino. One of Hollywood’s highest paid female stars Emma Watson knows a thing or two about fashion. Take a look back over her style highlights. Emma Watson photographed by Mario Testino for the December 2010 edition of Vogue Emma Watson landed the top award as a “style icon” at the Elle Style Awards celebration of fashion for 2011 , wearing a Hakaan pleated dress with cut-out detail on the side. Emma Watson donned a leather-sleeved, belted Burberry macintosh on her way to the Weinstein pre-Bafta dinner in London, Feb 2011. At the BAFTAS, Emma Watson went for a delicate one-shoulder gown by Italian couture house Valentino. Girl about town: Emma in a very short, ruche dress by Carven for an appearance on the ‘Today Show’ in New York. A Burberry trench from the spring/summer 2011, completes her fashion-forward look. Watson works her black magic in New York at Harry Potter premiere in a custom-made, black satin dress designed by Francisco Costa, the creative director of women’s wear at Calvin Klein. Comprising a halter neck style and a plunging, open back, the gown marks another revealing red carpet choice for the young actress. A double-breasted military coat (again by Burberry, lucky girl) paired with satin platforms by Charlotte Olympia guarantee a serious entrance to The Late Show with David Letterman. In revealing lace for posing for publicity shots. Emma bewitched fans at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I. The 20 year-old actress left little to the imagination in a revealing minidress by Spanish-born designer Rafael Lopez. In a draped velvet dress by the French fashion house Vionnet . Her new gamine hairstyle looked as stylish as ever, and she accessorized with spiky, silver earrings. Topped off with a slick of deep red lipstick, the result was glamorously vampish. It’s all in the details: Emma has never been one for outrageous style moves, but knows subtle details make all the difference. Shown here with a leopard print belt at Glastonbury festival 2010. Take a walk on the wild side with Burberry. Here are the first photo stills of the video Exotic Burberry Spring Summer 2011Signature Christopher Bailey. These fine luxury items are effectively constructed with fantastic materials that blur the bar Burberry has consistently set for itself. Expect to see sandals, handbags and belts in neutral tones with embellished signature Burberry patch work strips on earth tones and eggplant. This new version of the Burberry design is as step in a whole new direction, without compromising the integrity of the brand. Making a true stretch from the tradition of the brands preppy polished image, Burberry incorporates animal prints experimenting with leather snakeskin and other prints patterns. The collection continues the overstated pattern motif with trimming, leather inserts and studs. Increasingly in the collection, there are drizzles of neutral colors and symmetrical arrangements smartly placed together in high end fashion for 2011. Although the colors are neutral, they remain attractive and interesting. The smaller size handbags (clutches and shoulder bags) are perfect for this time of year when less is more and it’s all about keeping it light. Burberry has introduced a new way to mix and match your prints and patterns for Spring/Summer with a little bit of an exotic twist. From a gathered leather print mini dress to fierce snakeskin print trench this collection is for the adventurous fashionista. Kudos goes out to Burberry for taking a risk this season with a fun 2011 fashion trend. The easiest way to take the temperature of a new Burberry collection is to note what's being done to the iconic trench. Here, it was shrunken into a zipped-up mini with motocross sleeves, or banded in black leather and belted in pale blue patent, or shrunken still further into a baby biker jacket. It was studded, and domed, and all done up in python. From plaid handbags to their signature trench coats, the campaign celebrates their heritage and timeless Burberry iconic brand. The energy of the images and the dynamic designs reflect the different attitude and expression of the Burberry esthetic. What do you think of this collection? Leave your comments below. McQueen's work always provoked emotional reactions—extreme ones. One season, his audience shed tears of frustration over his inhospitable choice of venue; the next, tears of joy over the haunting beauty of both the clothes and the staging. Even as he entered his forties, the designer was hardly ever written about without the phrase "enfant terrible" following his name. And yet, despite the perennial bad-boy tag, he'd won all the big awards given out in London and was even honored by Queen Elizabeth. One can always count on Alexander McQueen for extreme fashion designs. The new McQueen sandals are the pinnacle of footwear fashion. The Spring/Summer fashion for 2011 features amazing floral detailed stiletto booties and gold buckle detailing not to mention a gold steel to detail that pulls the shoe together. Also included in the collection are nude suede stiletto sandals with a braided ankle strap and major hanging floral detailing. McQueen is always interesting in a perverse sort of way that is upsets and astonishes the fashion world at the same time. This collection is something out of a fairytale. There are gorgeous gold mottled and wavy petals that adorn the back holding up the structure and covering the front platform. Continuing the recurring t-strap theme are the peep toe, studded, floral detailed stilettos. There is nothing minimalist about this collection. These designs are classic artistic Alexander McQueen. The lines of the collection are clean and exciting to say the least. Indeed the protagonist of the collection is successfully displaying the complete coercion of imaginative embellishment. Along with relic gold finish that is reminiscent of some of the glorious stucco which was a favorite of the late baroque designer. There is not much to be desired from this collection because every pair is so lavishly detailed and exquisitely made. At a price tag ranging from $3000 and up the sandals by famous fashion designerAlexander McQueen for Spring/Summer are by far the crème de la crème of fashion footwear. So what do you think about the new McQueen footwear collection? Would you like to own a pair to add to your luxury footwear collection? Tell us everything. This is your new blog post.
